SMOKING KILLS !!

 SMOKING KILLS !!

Smoking is one of the worst things kids or adults can do to their bodies. Yet every single day about 3,900 kids between the ages 12 and 17 start smoking. i have many friends smokes and i hate that !! why would you smoke ? what's the reason ??

-Statutory warnings on cigarette packs shouldn't be taken lightly.
-Smoking does kill you, slowly and over several years.
-Research studies link the harmful effects of smoking to cancer, especially of the lung, heart disease, and respiratory diseases like emphysema which slowly rot the lungs.
-Parents who smoke expose their children to risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome), respiratory diseases like asthma, and long-term behavioral and mental difficulties.
-Cigarette smoking harms the body by raising cholesterol levels and blood pressure, as well as increasing the risk of cancer and cataracts.
-Smoking is associated with a decline in physical function that makes a smoker act several years older than he/she really is. Tobacco smoking reduces the effectiveness of medications, such as pain relievers
moking causes an increased stress in the whole body even though there seems to be a lessening of stress when the body gets its 'fix' from the nicotine.
--> -Smoking destroys certain vitamins and creates the need for other specific nutrients.
-Smoking is the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death. It is a prime factor in heart disease, stroke, and chronic lung disease. It can cause cancer of the lungs, larynx, esophagus, mouth, and bladders. At least a quarter of all deaths from heart diseases and about three-quarters of the world's chronic bronchitis cases are related to smoking.
-Smoking causes bad breath, yellow teeth, wrinkles, excessive perspiration, bad gums, severe cramps, tremors, nervousness, fatigue, headaches, and insomnia.
- Heart attacks and stroke caused due to smoking slow your blood flow, cutting off oxygen to your feet and hands. As a result, some smokers end up having their limbs amputated.
-Pregnant women who smoke will have babies with malformations and low birth weight.
NOW let's talk about HOW YOU STOP SMOKING :
- Reduce the risk of getting serious smoking-related diseases such as heart disease, cancers, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and peripheral vascular disease.
- Reduce the risk of getting various other conditions which, although not life-threatening, can cause unpleasant problems. For example: impotence (erection problems), fertility problems, optic neuropathy (a condition affecting the nerve supplying the eye), cataracts, macular degeneration (a breakdown of tissue at the back of the eye), tooth loss .
-Reduce the risk of pregnancy complications if you are pregnant.
If you have smoked since being a teenager or young adult and If you stop smoking before the age of about 35, your life expectancy is only slightly less than it is for people who have never smoked.
-If you stop smoking before the age of 50, you decrease the risk of dying from smoking-related diseases by 50%.
But it is never too late to stop smoking to gain health benefits. Even if you already have COPD or heart disease, your outlook (prognosis) is much improved if you stop smoking.

  1. People can't understand the side effects of smoking which are very much dangerous for health. Quit smoking is only the best option for you to protect yourself against dangerous disease like lung cancer, teeth and gum cancer etc.
